About Us

PCEA King’ong’o Parish is part of Nyeri Presbytery in Mount Kenya region. The Parish was formed on 29th September, 2002 from Rware Parish. The Parish embraces urban and semi-rural set ups in membership. It comprises of 6 congregations namely: Imani, Kirimara, Kirathimo, Karima, Muringato, and Kimathi. The Parish continues to grow in many ways and going by the new developments coming up within the jurisdiction, expansion to accommodate the changes is inevitable. One of the congregations that deserve mention is Kimathi which has continued to experience an influx in the number of students joining owing to its proximity to the growing Dedan Kimathi University – we are very grateful to God for this.

The Parish is surrounded by a number of institutions and enjoys a good relationship with them – we are forever grateful to God for placing us in this wonderful jurisdiction. The institutions provide a great opportunity for impacting the next generation positively. The institutions are:-
